A 19-year-old Oshawa man is facing stunt driving and careless driving charges after police spotted him driving 170 km/hour in a 70 km/hour zone.
On April 29 at 7:50 p.m. officers saw a vehicle squealing its tires and speeding around in the Holt Road and Nash Road area in Clarington. Officers followed the vehicle and saw it failed to stop at a stop sign and was driving erratically.
Due to the stunt driving charge, the 19-year-old’s car was impounded and his license was suspended for seven days. He was released on a promise to appear in court.
