Cocaine with an estimated street value of $10,000 has been seized and two charged with possession for purpose of trafficking after police stopped a vehicle they said had been weaving on Highway 69.

On Friday, March 1, West Parry Sound OPP was reportedly on general patrol on Highway 69 in The Archipelago Township, when shortly before 1 a.m. they observed a vehicle weaving on the road. Police stopped the vehicle and as a result of the investigation, seized suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of approximately $10,000.

Nathaniel Francique, 33, of Sudbury was arrested and charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine, obstruct peace officer, and three counts of fail to comply with recognizance.

Francique was held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on March 21.

Melanie Nabigon, 32 of Sudbury was arrested and charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine.

Nabigon was released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on April 18.
