Jerry

Gerald (Jerry) LeBlanc

President / Licensed Paralegal

Jerry has been practicing since 2007. He graduated from the Paralegal Communications Program with honours in early 2007 from CDI College. After graduating, he founded Ticket Terminator Paralegal Services, which he operated until November 2009. In November 2009, he proudly joined the XPolice family. He owned and operated the XPolice Barrie office until April 2016. On April 1, 2016 he took over as president of XPolice Traffic Ticket Services Professional Corporation from Ivon Fournier.

In 2008, Jerry was an instructor for the paralegal program at Everest College in Newmarket. For the past 6 years, he has been an instructor and acted as the Paralegal Field Placement Coordinator at CTS Canadian Career College in Barrie. During the day, he attended court and diligently fought for his clients. During the evening, he committed himself to helping produce top notch paralegals. On January 22, 2016, he stepped down from teaching, so he could commit himself one hundred percent to operating XPolice Traffic Ticket Services Professional Corporation and to ensure that XPolice’s clients are well taken care of. Jerry will make sure he raises every issue and turns over every stone when searching for a defence.

Get professional assistance to get your fines and penalties reduced for charges such as:
Speeding
Failure to stop at a red light
Careless driving
Stunt driving
Driving without a license
Driving without insurance
Failure to remain at an accident

Speeding

Fines and penalties assigned for speeding violations depend on how many kilometers you were going over the speed limit. The more kilometers over the limit, the higher the fine. Speeding violations can also come with demerit points. Here is the breakdown:
0-15 kms over the limit – 0 points
16-29 kms over the limit – 3 points
30-49 kms over the limit – 4 points
50+ kms over the limit – 6points
If you are charged with traveling in excess of 50 kilometers over the limit, you will be assigned 6 demerit points, your license will be suspended, and you may even be charged with stunt driving or racing.

Failure to Stop at a Red Light

This offense may not seem overly serious, but the penalties can be. Most people that commit this offense roll though an empty intersection because there is no traffic for miles in either direction. However, failure to come to a complete stop at a red light or stop sign can result in a fine, 3 demerit points, and blemish on your driving record for 3 years if convicted.

Careless Driving

Careless driving is a fairly expansive charge that is usually associated with an accident of some sort. It basically means not taking due care and considering other motorists while operating a motorized vehicle. This charge is a very serious one and can incur the following penalties:
A fine of $200-$2000
6 demerit points
Possible license suspension
Possible jail sentence of up to 6 months
Due to the severity of the possible penalties, it is highly recommended to seek legal counsel for this type of charge.

Stunt Driving

Stunt driving is characterized by excessive speeds and ill-advised, dangerous maneuvers. This charge comes with an immediate, seven-day, roadside suspension of your vehicle. There is a possibility of an extended suspension, fines from $2000-$10,000 and a jail sentence of up to 6 months.

Driving Without a License

Anyone that operates a vehicle without a valid driver’s license is subject to this charge. That includes licenses that were at one point valid, but have now expired. A conviction results in a fine plus a 3-year blemish on your driving record.

Driving Without Insurance

No motorized vehicle is allowed to be operated without valid insurance. A conviction for this offense will result in heavy fines ($5000-$10000), as well as a possible license suspension.

Failure to Remain at an Accident

This law states that anyone involved in a motor vehicle accident shall not flee the scene. The drivers of the vehicles involved in the collision are required to exchange personal and insurance information. Penalties for this offense are quite harsh if convicted, including 7 demerit points, $200-$2000 fines, possible license suspension, possible jail term of up to 6 months.
