18-year-old the 8th charged with stunt driving by Parry Sound OPP in 2019

A Highway 69 driver was stopped and charged with stunt driving in Archipelago Township.

While conducting patrol shortly after midnight on Feb. 16, a West Parry Sound OPP officer stopped a northbound vehicle believed to be travelling at a speed greater than 50 km/h over the posted speed limit.

Justin Plaus, 18, of Rayside-Belfour, Ontario, was charged with racing a motor vehicle.

The driver is scheduled to appear in Parry Sound court on March 26 to answer to the charge. His licence has been suspended for seven days and the vehicle he was driving has been impounded for seven days.
