Dave Shaw, 33, of Hagersville was killed in the Sept. 3 crash around 3 p.m. on Highway 6, between the 10th and 11th Concession, said Haldimand County OPP.

A 46-year-old Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nation man has been charged in a fatal crash that killed a Hagersville man in September.

Dave Shaw, 33, of Hagersville was killed in the Sept. 3 crash around 3 p.m. on Highway 6, between the 10th and 11th Concession, said Haldimand County OPP.

Police say a southbound SUV struck a southbound car, before crossing over into oncoming traffic and hitting a northbound SUV.

Shaw was driving the northbound SUV when he was killed and three other people were injured.

On Friday OPP arrested the 46-year-old and charged him with impaired driving causing death, two counts of impaired driving causing bodily harm, driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood causing death, two counts of driving with more than 80 mg of alcohol in 100 mL of blood causing bodily harm, criminal negligence causing death and two counts of criminal negligence causing bodily harm.
