A caller contacted police Oct. 16 to report a vehicle weaving on Highway 12 in Midland, leading to the arrest of a 49-year-old Tay Township man.
Southern Georgian Bay OPP said the incident happened around 10 p.m. The vehicle was stopped a short time later in Victoria Harbour.
The driver’s GMC van was impounded for seven days and his licence suspended for 90 days.
The accused is scheduled to appear in Midland court Oct. 29 on charges of impaired driving and driving with a blood-alcohol content above 80 milligrams.
