Peterborough Police say a man was found with cocaine during a traffic stop on May 16.

A man from Peterborough faces a drug charge after a traffic stop in the city last week.

Shortly after 1 AM on Thursday, May 16, a Peterborough police officer noticed a vehicle travelling slowly westbound on McDonnel Street, allegedly without illuminated tail lights. The officer followed the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.

A quantity of cocaine was found inside the vehicle following an investigation which included the use of a police service dog, police said.

Paul Gordon Graham, 56-years-old, of Mountainland Drive, was arrested and charged with possession of a Schedule I substance.

He was released from custody and is set to appear in court on June 4.
