A Woodstock 12-year-old was so concerned about her father texting and driving that she called police to report him.

Woodstock police said on Saturday, Oct. 1 the daughter of a 45-year-old man reported him while driving in the area of Brant Street.

Police said they located the man at a residence in Woodstock and issued him a warning.

Last Friday at approximately 6:30 a.m. a 41-year-old Brantford man was driving in the area of Clarke and Dundas streets when he ran a red light and struck another vehicle, causing $20,000 in damages to the vehicles.

A 43-year-old female sustained minor injuries and was rushed to hospital.

The male driver was charged.

On Saturday, police said they visited a residence on Henry Street following a complaint that the occupants were having a fire without a permit.

When police arrived, the fire had already been extinguished, but police noted two marijuana plants in the yard and seized them.

A 28-year-old was given a warning for both the fire and the plants.

Overnight on Saturday and Sunday a 2007 Black Ford F150 with licence plate AA99073 was stolen from a driveway on Champlain Avenue in Woodstock.

The truck contained several tools in the vehicle.
