Police say no charges will be laid
Police say a pedestrian who was struck and killed by a car in Hamilton last month was crossing the road without the right of way.
Hamilton police say the 63-year-old driver was following the rules of the road and made attempts to avoid the collision the night of Dec. 21.
They say no charges will be laid as a result.
The crash took place around 7:30 p.m. on Highway 56 near Kirk Road.
The 55-year-old pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
