Investigation ongoing
Peel Regional Police have taken a driver suspected of ramming a car into a pole in Clarkson [Friday] morning and fleeing the scene, into custody.
The incident occurred around 5 a.m. at Mississauga Road and Lakeshore Road West, according to Peel Regional Police.
The vehicle struck a pole and when police responded, the car had been vacated. The pole was strewn across the roadway and wires were also knocked down. Hydro crews [were] on scene repairing the damage.
The 22-year-old driver was located nearby. Police are still investigating and it’s unclear whether charges will be laid.
