In a release, the Manitoulin-Espanola Detachment of the OPP said officers got a call Tuesday about a vehicle blocking traffic on the bridge. Officers located the driver just before 11 p.m. and found she had been drinking.
As a result, Samantha Dame, 31, of Sault Ste. Marie, has been charged with impaired driving and failing a breath test.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Gore Bay on Aug. 14.
