Sarnia police are saying thanks after a local woman alerted officers about an alleged drunk driver Wednesday.
The woman called in around 8:30 p.m. after spotting a man riding an e-bike with a leashed dog in tow, police said, noting the dog was sometimes being dragged because the e-bike was moving quickly.
The man had refused to listen when she had told the man to stop from an adjacent vehicle, police said.
Police determined the man was intoxicated and breathalyzer results showed he was more than twice the legal limit, police said.

The dog has been taken to the Sarnia and District Humane Society and is doing well, police said.
