Oxford OPP charged four people with stunt driving in separate traffic stops over the last week.

A 40-year-old male from Oil Springs was stopped after allegedly speeding 162-kilometres an hour in a posted 100km/h zone on Highway 401 in Southwest Oxford township Nov. 18.

A 26-year-old male from London was stopped Nov. 18 for allegedly speeding 171km/h in an 80km/h zone on Road 68 in Zorra township.

On Nov. 19, a 50-year-old male Woodstock driver was stopped for allegedly speeding 162km/h in a 100km/h zone on Highway 401 near Woodstock.

An 18-year-old male from London was stopped for allegedly speeding 162km/h in a 100km/h zone on Highway 401 in Southwest Oxford.

All four drivers were charged with stunt driving contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. They’re set to appear in court at a future date.

OPP said they remind drivers stunt driving or racing is one of the most serious and reckless forms of aggressive driving and it puts people on the road at serious risk of injury or death.
