A Hamilton man is facing a handful of charges after a traffic stop earlier this week.

Police say they stopped a white 2003 Ford F150 after spotting the pickup truck travelling with the wrong licence plates near Concession and Upper Wellington streets Tuesday morning.

An investigation revealed the driving status of the vehicle’s driver had been revoked.

Hamilton police also found more than 300 grams of marijuana in the truck.

A 55-year-old Hamilton man was arrested and police seized his vehicle.

He is charged with possession of controlled drugs, two counts of possession of stolen property under $5,000 and two counts of driving while suspended.

The man is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 22.
