Four people face charges after Hamilton officers seized heroin and fentanyl during a traffic stop.

Just before 11:30 a.m. Sunday, police say that a driver whose licence was known to be suspended was pulled over in the King St. East and Holton Ave. North area. The 26-year-old woman was arrested and she was removed from the vehicle.

As an officer returned to the vehicle, they noted that the two passengers in the rear were trying to hide something.

Hamilton police said, “Those items were later identified as a digital scale and a clear baggie, both containing a white powder residue.”

After searching the vehicle, police found several items containing suspected heroin and fentanyl, and drug paraphernalia.

A man, 60, woman, 37, and another man 37-years of age were arrested for possession of a controlled substance. The 26-year-old driver appeared in court on Monday, while the other three have been scheduled for future court appearances.
