Work crews are working on a Tbaytel manhole rehabilitation job at the corner of John Street and Secord Street. That job has led to a temporary no-right-hand-turn at that intersection.
While a sign clearly marks the temporary traffic rule, motorists appear to be ignoring it.
Thunder Bay Police Service traffic Sgt. Glenn Porter in a brief statement to media said police have issued 114 tickets to drivers for either ignoring or not seeing the sign.
A photograph submitted to media makes it difficult to believe that drivers couldn’t see the sign in question.
Porter added that traffic officers will be back at the location Monday.
