OPP have charged two Michigan residents in separate alleged drunk driving incidents at the Blue Water Bridge

Two Michigan residents are facing drunk driving charges, after failing to cross the Blue Water Bridge in separate incidents in Point Edward.

Lambton OPP say border officers noticed both drivers had been consuming alcohol.

Reports say the suspect drivers both failed road side breath tests, and proceeded to blow over the legal limit at a nearby detachment.

Police say one of the drivers registered “well over twice the legal limit.”

A 49 year old man from Marysville and a 27 year old from Port Huron have been charged.
