Impaired Driver Arrested

On July 18, 2015 at approximately 2:43 p.m. police received a call about a single motor vehicle accident that had occurred on Pigeon Lake Road just West of Settlers Road. The vehicle had rolled over and the single female driver was trapped inside the vehicle. The woman was eventually extricated from her vehicle and immediately transported to Ross Memorial Hospital, where police were able to determine that she was impaired by alcohol. After being cleared by a doctor, the woman was advised that she was under arrest and was transported to Kawartha Lakes Police Service (KLPS) for the purpose of providing a breath sample.

Mary Herzog, 75, of Lindsay, Ont. has been charged with driving while ability impaired and driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood. She will appear in the Lindsay, Ontario Court of Justice on August 20, 2015.

Mischief ends in arrest

On July 18, 2015, at approximately 9:10 p.m. a male suspect was at a local hotel celebrating a family member’s 80th birthday. After a conflict with a family member, the male suspect became frustrated and left the hotel where he then took his frustration out on a parked vehicle in the hotel parking lot causing $3,000 in damage. The owner of the vehicle witnessed the incident take place, and police were then called to the scene. Once police arrived, the male suspect was identified and placed under arrest.

Jake Roberts, 21, of Sharon, Ont. has been charged with Mischief over $5,000. He will appear in the Lindsay, Ontario Court of Justice on August 20, 2015.

Mischief in Lindsay

On July 19, 2015, KLPS received reports of multiple mischiefs in the area of Victoria and Orchard Park. Several stop signs, Telephone poles, Vehicles, and more were vandalized with spray paint over the weekend.
