Niagara Regional Police have charged a 56-year-old Hamilton man with impaired driving after his vehicle crashed into someone’s kitchen in West Lincoln Wednesday night.

At around 11:30 p.m., police responded to the collision on Highway 20. The investigation revealed, the vehicle was heading eastbound on Hwy. 20 and failed to negotiate a curve near Adams Road.

The vehicle left the roadway and travelled about 400 metres through the grass alongside the south shoulder of the road before striking the west wall of the house.

The vehicle struck the house with such force that it broke through the wall and came to rest in the kitchen of the home.

Neither the driver nor the occupants of the home were injured.

Total damage is estimated at $100,000.

Guy Morrison has been charged with impaired driving.
