Two people from Hamilton were arrested in Burlington after police attempted to stop a stolen vehicle.
Shortly after 1 AM Thursday morning, in the Plains Road and Daryl Drive area, a Halton Police officer tried to stop a black Dodge Ram pickup truck before the driver sped off.
Not long after, a concerned citizen contacted police after the same black truck drove onto a lawn on Snake Road and the driver ditched the vehicle, with its engine still running and headlights on.
The K-9 Unit was called in and located two suspects hiding near Notre Dame Motherhouse. A 25-year-old woman and 29-year-old man were taken into custody on several charges.
According to police, the pickup truck had been stolen from Hamilton and break-and-enter tools were found in the vehicle.
