Texting, not tinting the main driving concern
The OPP enforces window tint legislation. The real issue, however, isn’t window tint; it’s the lack of voluntary compliance by drivers for the rules of the road.
Texting and talking on the phone is a societal issue. Until it becomes as socially unacceptable as impaired driving, drivers will continue to do it. The top four causes of injury and death on the roadway remains distracted driving, impaired driving, aggressive driving and failure to wear seatbelts.
The reality of distracted driving is you will likely injure or kill yourself or someone else regardless of whether your windows are tinted or not.
