A Toronto man has been charged after police seized this loaded .40 calibre handgun during a traffic stop in Mississauga early Sunday morning, March 5.
Peel police conducted a traffic stop at 2:40 a.m. in the area of Derry Road and Torbram Road. They seized a .40 calibre gun, which was loaded, and arrested the driver of the vehicle.
Damaine Sitladeen, 27, of Toronto was charged with numerous firearms offences and was held for a bail hearing.
Shootings in Mississauga and Brampton spiked recently with the first two murders of 2017, both of them gun-related.
