Police arrested a man for drunk driving in the early hours of Sunday morning after his car caught fire.
The man was driving with a female passenger in the Crockett Street and Upper Sherman Ave. area around 4 a.m. Sunday when the car crashed into a pole. Though the man was able to continue driving, he was forced to stop after he noticed the vehicle had caught fire.
The driver called both the police and the fire department, who attended the scene.
The man failed a breathalyzer test and was arrested for impaired driving. The female passenger suffered minor injuries.
