No one was injured in a multi-vehicle crash at the Mulock Drive and Cane Parkway intersection in Newmarket Wednesday morning.
York Regional Police report the incident happened at about 9:55 a.m. One of the vehicles hit a traffic pole, causing the structure to collapse. The intersection was not closed, however motorists did experience some delays while driving through the area.
“The pole is causing some issues with the traffic lights,” Const. Laura Nicolle said. “There’s a bit of delay there and some officers are directing traffic around.”
Police could not confirm how long the cleanup would take, or the exact number of vehicles involved in the incident.
