The OPP alleges a 58-year-old Dufferin County man arrested for impaired driving was also operating a vehicle without insurance.

At about 12:25 p.m. last Wednesday (Dec. 27), Wellington County OPP received a complaint about a possible drunk driver operating a Volkswagen Jetta in Erin.

After locating the suspected vehicle on County Road 22, the OPP says officers formed an opinion that the male driver was under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested and taken to an OPP detachment for testing.

Andrzej Kruszewski, 58, of East Garafraxa, is charged with driving while ability impaired by alcohol, over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 mls blood, fail to surrender drivers licence and operate motor vehicle with no insurance.

The charges have not been proven in court. The accused is scheduled to answer to the allegations in a Guelph courtroom on Jan. 16.
