A person from Sudbury and another from North Dundas, Ont. face a handful of drug- and driving-related charges following a traffic stop on Highway 400 on Sept. 21 at 9:14 p.m., West Parry Sound OPP said in a release.
Police saw the vehicle travelling northward at a high rate of speed, according to the release, and during the stop, learned the occupants were wanted on warrants in other jurisdictions. They were arrested and their vehicle searched.
Correy Gordon, 38, from Sudbury, was charged with possession of Schedule I substance – methamphetamine, possession of Schedule I substance – cocaine; and failing to comply with recognizance (five counts).
Whitney Thompson, 30, from North Dundas, was charged with speeding, possession of Schedule I substance – methamphetamine, possession of Schedule I substance – cocaine, and failing to comply with recognizance (three counts).
Both were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
