Officers in Red Lake observed a vehicle driving on the highway without any headlights on and after conducting a traffic stop discovered the driver was impaired

According to an Ontario Provincial Police media release, officers with the Red Lake detachment observed a vehicle at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Saturday travel onto the highway without any headlights.
Officers stopped the vehicle and conducted a breath screening, which the driver failed. The driver was arrested and transported to the detachment for further tests.
As a result, a 23-year-old woman from Pickle Lake has been charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol, operating a motor vehicle with over 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 milliliters of blood, and three counts of failing to comply with recognizance.
The woman was released on a promise to appear in a Red Lake court on Sept. 19.
