Police have charged two Orangeville men after officers seized cocaine and marijuana during a traffic stop.

At about 2:30 p.m. on Sunday (Oct. 30), police say officers stopped a vehicle on Bythia Street for a stop sign related offence.

During the investigation, police report officers seized marijuana and cocaine. The male driver and passenger were each charged with drug-related offences.

Matthew Moote, 38, of Orangeville, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking marijuana and possession of cocaine.

Edward Alexander, 43, of Orangeville, is charged with possession of cocaine.

The charges have not been proven in court. Both of the accused are scheduled to answer to the allegations in an Orangeville courtroom on Dec. 5.
