West Parry Sound OPP brief

A Seguin man is charged with drunk driving after emergency services were called to a vehicle rollover on Oastler Park Drive Saturday evening.

On October 21, at 7:06 p.m., members of the West Parry Sound Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, Seguin Fire Department and Parry Sound Emergency Medical Services (EMS) received a call on Oastler Park Drive in Seguin Township involving a motor vehicle collision.

Investigation has since revealed that a vehicle was northbound on Oastler Park Drive near Rankin Lake Road when it lost control, struck guard rails and rolled over. The male driver was uninjured as a result of the collision. Officers spoke with the driver and determined that he had consumed alcohol.

As a result of the investigation;

Jerzy KULA, 65, from Seguin Township, Ontario, was arrested and charged with;

Driving While Ability Impaired by Alcohol, contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC)

Driving With More Than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in Blood, contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the CC

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on Nov. 2.
