oppBrant OPP have charged two drivers caught racing on separate county roads.

On Friday at about 6:45 a.m., police pulled over a 34-year-old male on Pinehurst Road outside Paris. A radar reading showed his Infinity G37 was traveling at more than 50 kilometres per hour above the 80-km/h speed limit, police say.

He was charged with stunt driving.

On Thursday, at about 9:45 a.m., 21-year-old woman was stopped on German School Road, after. Police spotted a Chevrolet Malibu going at a high rate of speed. According to a radar reading, the car was traveling more than 50 km/h above the 80-km/h speed limit.

She was charged with stunt driving.

Both will appear in provincial court in Brantford at a later date.

“Aggressive driving is one of the “Big Four” driving behaviours that contribute to road fatalities in Ontario, and that the OPP targets as part of its Provincial Traffic Safety Program, in their efforts to save lives,” police say in a release.

If convicted, motorists face a minimum fine of $2,000 for stunt driving, and an automatic driver’s licence suspension for seven days.
