Catherine St. Jean, left, and Sarah Lachance, right, of Marymount Academy, are congratulated by Action Sudbury member Tracey Adams for their winning posters.

Action Sudbury has chosen the winners of its annual poster contest to promote sober driving.

Each winner received a gift card of $300 from a store of their choice and a certificate of appreciation for “their dedication and motivation to convince others to drive aware — not impaired.”

Benjamin Bisaillon of Ecole Secondaire, one of three winners in a poster contest to warn against impaired driving, accepts a certificate from Action Sudbury chair Ron Roy.

The three winning posters were chosen by all who attended the organization’s Annual Red Ribbon Campaign on Nov. 29. Attendees included guest speakers, the general public, Action Sudbury members and members of the media.

The posters will be used in upcoming ads for the organization.

They will appear on the back of a city bus during prom time, on electronic billboards throughout the year and in newspaper ads.
