Three men face a slew of charges following a traffic stop in the city’s south end Saturday night.
Sarnia police officers pulled the men over in a car on Carlton Place for a traffic violation just before 9 p.m. Police say they discovered the plates didn’t match the vehicle and that the car itself wasn’t registered to any of the three men.
During a search of the vehicle, more than 26 grams of methamphetamine and about four grams of marijuana were found inside, according to a police release. The combined street value is estimated at $3,440.
All three men – the 26-year-old driver, a 21-year-old passenger and an 18-year-old passenger – face drug possession and trafficking charges.
In addition, the 26-year-old was charged for the traffic violations, and the 18-year-old for an outstanding warrant from Windsor.
All three men were on terms of probation. They’re now in custody awaiting bail hearings.
