OPP Staff Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said the collision, involving two transport trucks, took place around 6 a.m. in the westbound lanes near Highway 6 South.
Milton firefighters responded to the scene.
“One truck was going slower than the other, and for some reason the driver drove into the back of it,” he said.
The injuries of the two people sent to hospital aren’t considered life-threatening. The other driver was not injured, Schmidt said.
Two lanes were closed for cleanup but have since reopened.
