A 39-year-old Brampton man was charged with impaired driving after police received a complaint of a transport truck driving erratically on Highway 401.

Chatham-Kent OPP said they received a complaint about a transport truck “weaving all over the road” on Highway 401 near Charing Cross Road, in Chatham-Kent, about 2 p.m. Sunday.

Police said they located the vehicle and took the driver of the truck to a detachment for further tests, after determining he had consumed alcohol.

Following the investigation, the driver was charged with driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in his blood.

The accused is expected to appear in court Dec. 11.
