Guelph police say woman fled scene of crash but was later found driving aggressively
Guelph police have arrested a woman they say was driving drunk with her three-year-old child in the car.
The arrest came just after 2 p.m. on Tuesday, when a pick-up truck collided with a minivan on Victoria Road in Guelph.
Police say the minivan took off and was later seen driving aggressively in a nearby subdivision.
The driver of the minivan was found nearby and was “in an intoxicated state,” Guelph police said.
Officers say that the woman’s three-year-old child was a passenger in the minivan and had to be taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
A 25-year-old woman was charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired with a blood alcohol above 80 mgs.
